I am a teacher of TESOL in Brisbane Queensland and have been teaching in Birmingham UK. recently. I decided to learn Italian and would like to teach English in Italy with the idea of improving my Italian. I do have an ancestry visa fir Britian. Is this possible.

Hi Torquil:As far as I understand, a British ancestry visa allows you to live & work in the UK for 4 years after which you have to renew it but it doesn't allow you to work or live in any other country and it doesn't affect the length of time you can visit a country as a tourist .

A UK passport allows you to live, work & be a tourist anywhere in the UK and the rest of the EU for as long as you want without the need for visas
