Urgent!!!!!! Can anybody tell me - is it difficult to work in Vietnam without a BA? I have tried researching on the web and cannot seem to get a straight answer. Greatly appreciate any response.

I don't know an exact answer, but my advice to you is to ignore the BA request on the job offer, and apply. Upfront state you have no formal BA but.....(give them some equivalent information, training, education, etc..) You would have to have at least a TEFL certificate and some experience. If they want to hire you, they will go around any official requirement.

I worked for 6 years without a BA degree and some of the positions stated they required one for applicants. You just have to try and see. Different jobs will react differently.

Does anyone know about hours and pay in Viet Nam? I see on the Net that there are a number of private schools which do not clearly disclose pay.

Also, how about universities? Do they hire ESL teachers?
