EF Education First is accepting applications for an English language teaching and publishing specialist to be part of shaping the future of language learning. As Academic Development Manager you will be a key member of the team designing and creating innovative blended language learning experiences for EF students around the world. You will provide expertise in educational publishing to lead the development multi-component projects for online, offline and mobile English instruction, including commissioning and managing contributors, suppliers, schedules and budgets. You will also participate in teacher training, conduct ongoing product research and the formative evaluation of our learning media, and act as an academic liaison internally with EFs worldwide network of schools and offices and externally with the language teaching profession. The starting location for the position will be Zurich, Switzerland.
Applicants must hold a Masters or PhD in Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Education, or related field. They must have a proven record of successful English language teaching for a wide range of ages and interests, and experience in product development and publishing for the English language teaching (ELT) industry. In addition, they should have wide international work and travel experience, familiarity with the international education market, a demonstrated public speaking record, and a passion for the opportunities that new media and technology provide for effective learning, teaching, and assessment.
